Halo The Master Chief Collection

343 Industries’ next major patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be launching this week. According to Halo Waypoint, the patch has passed Microsoft certification and should be arriving soon. This particular patch is important because it punishes players for quitting, idling or betraying their teammates during games.

If you quit a match, for instance, you’ll receive a ranking deduction. Your Xbox One Reputation will also incur a penalty. If you continue to quit or betray your teammates for a particular period of time, you’ll find yourself temporarily banned from matchmaking. Longer bans will be issued if you continue to misbehave following the first ban.

Other fixes in the patch include matchmaking voting randomizing a winner in case of ties; improvements to ranking calculations; and a fix for an issue where winning a match could result in your ranking going down. You can check out the full patch notes here and let us know what you think of the fixes in the comments.
