While Sony and Naughty Dog have been putting on a full court press when it comes to marketing for the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End it appears that the development team is having a few problems getting the game to market. On Wednesday morning, fans who are eagerly awaiting the release of the game got the opposite of a Christmas present when it was announced the launch of the title has been pushed back for a second time.

Naughty Dog and Sony announced the new release date, April 27 on the official website. The companies announced the developers need a few more weeks in order to work on the largest Uncharted in the series. “This is our largest Uncharted, and the team has been working incredibly hard to meet the challenge of closing out the game’s development in a timely manner. However, as we started to approach our final deadlines and started wrapping up the game’s levels, we realized that several key sequences needed extra resources to bring them to the finish line.” The development team said in the post.

The game was originally slated for a 2015 release but it was pushed back to next spring. Now it will be later in the year than ever before and there are likely going to be quite a few questions about what kind of problems the company keeps running into. Of course, the rebuttal is that Naughty Dog just wants to make sure this last installment is going to be the best its ever produced. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be available exclusively on the PS4 on April 27, 2016.
