Couldn’t get into the closed beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division? Not to worry because Ubisoft has something else in mind for Rainbow Six Siege players – a weekend of increased Renown.

Renown is the multiplayer shooter’s in-game currency and can be used to unlock Operators and weapons along with other nifty extras. If you play the game at any time this weekend, you’ll earn 50 percent more Renown than usual.

Now’s not a bad time to start grinding for the currency either. Ubisoft will be releasing its first major free content update to Rainbow Six Siege with Operation Black Ice, featuring two new Operators to play around with. Players without the Season Pass will need to spend Renown to unlock these Operators. Updates on the starting and ending times for the Renown weekend will be provided as the event begins.
