After announcing that Final Fantasy 15 would be some 50 hours long with its story, director Hajime Tabata also confirmed that Square Enix is targeting a 30 FPS frame rate.
During a NicoNico livestream (via Siliconera), it was noted that a 30 FPS frame rate was the current goal for the game. Despite not being optimized perfectly just yet, with some frame drops occurring, the team will continue optimizing the game in the meantime to achieve the desired frame rate.
Tabata also mentioned that along with news of a release date on March 31st that the resolution for Final Fantasy 15 will also be announced. A PlayStation 4 bundle is also being planned in collaboration with Sony and an Xbox One edition hasn’t been confirmed as of yet.
Final Fantasy 15 was originally began development in 2006 as a PS3 exclusive titled Final Fantasy Versus 13. It’s seen numerous delays since then but started making headway in 2013 when it was renamed to Final Fantasy 15.
