Continuing from the State of the Game address on patch 1.2, Ubisoft Massive also detailed the different ways talents would work for Tom Clancy’s The Division.

It should be noted that weapons won’t be directly changed in patch 1.2 but the obvious decision is to get away from the Vector/Aug/M1A meta currently inhabiting the game. The developer also wants to put emphasis on archetypes that may not be as used now and promises better weapons with patch 1.2 that will work with the new Gear Sets.

Brutal and Balance will be re-balanced and once there’s enough data gathered, weapons will be balanced after 1.2. Sentry’s Call will rebalanced to allow for working with weapons like pistols, shotguns and marksmen rifles rather than SMGs. It also seems that the glitch which leaves the debuff on you until you log out will be fixed in 1.2. A bug will also be fixed which allows for multiple talents to stack.

Performance Mods will see a significant buff to help make up for a missing attribute that players may need (rather than being near useless like right now). Armour cap will be increased to provide 75 percent damage mitigation. Achieving max damage mitigation will mean sacrificing other stats however.

Ubisoft Massive also noted that an announcement date for release was still pending so stay tuned for more information on the same.
