Games can be a blast but they can also be full of tedious activities that test your patience and overwhelming commitment to the genre. Nowadays, some of the more tedious activities can be optional. However, entire genres like MMOs and RPGs often rely on tedious mechanics to keep you playing. Keep in mind that the games on this list aren’t terrible – heck, a lot of them are pretty great. It’s just that it can be hard to ignore some of the tedium when it’s your 20th try on something.

Raiding for Loot

Raiding can be fun. Except when it’s your one way ticket to getting the best loot in an MMO and the best rewards can be obtained once a week. It’s not even about farming bosses for that one drop as you’ll want the best stat roll as well. You wouldn’t think it to be that infuriating but ask anyone who’s never had a Fatebringer drop in Year One of Destiny. The struggle is real.
