Detroit Become Human (2)

In an interview with David Cage, new details have been revealed about the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Detroit Become Human. The footage showcased here reveals the black bars gone and the ability to switch camera angles like in Heavy Rain to offer a better view of the action. Also, much like Heavy Rain, you’ll be using contextual prompts with the analog stick.

The walking controls, which resemble that of Beyond: Two Souls in that you can pan the camera, rarely deviate away from the player save for conversations with NPCs. ARI 2.0 can be used to showcase your current status or pause a scene and it’s possible to freely explore your surroundings (though there will be some sequences, like the hostage situation, which are on a time limit and can end differently if you’re too slow).

Dialog options are broken up into four answers. Analyzing bodies and searching for clues is important since it allows a reconstruction of past events which can be rewound or fast forwarded through. As for the hostage scene in question, you’ll need to approach careful lest you frighten him. You can also decide whether you want to help the cop bleeding out or leave him.

Missing evidence during some sequences will lock certain dialog options, limiting the different outcomes you can reach. It should also be noted that if you don’t successfully stop the deviant android, there will be a QTE that determines whether you or the girl dies. Both of you surviving isn’t possible though.
