A new Battletoads game has been rumored for a while now- Rare’s retro brawler has been rumored for the Xbox One for longer than the Xbox One has officially existed, and even though we know that Rare are right now working on the pirates themed MMO Sea of Thieves, it doesn’t look like people’s anticipation for a hypothetical new Battletoads has abated even a bit.
So when a user allegedly finds evidence of a new Battletoads game on the way, people sit up and take notice- and that is exactly what has happened, with Twitter user IAmIronWolf apparently finding evidence of a new Battletoads game in the works on the Xbox One Dashboard.
From the description, it seems to be a new game in the works, and if that is true, then it will probably be announced in the coming moths- possibly at Gamescom? That said, there is always the possibility of something like this being faked, so take this with a healthy helping of salt.
