Dark Souls 3’s First DLC Will Have A Different Feel Than The Rest Of The Game

'It builds off of the previous games.'

Dark Souls 3

From Software have always supported their games with excellent, incredible DLC- Dark Souls had DLC that was arguably better than the main game itself, as did Bloodborne, while Dark Souls  as a whole was elevated thanks to its DLC and post launch support.

It’s not, therefore, a stretch to say that Dark Souls 3‘s DLC has some pretty high expectations surrounding it- players are anxious for a reason to jump right back into the game, and they can’t wait to see how From will expand the world of Dark Souls 3.

“I’m not sure I can provide “information” [about Dark Souls 3] without spilling the “surprise,”” Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director of the game, laughed in response to a question about the DLC for the game posed to him by Kotaku. “The only thing I can say now is that we’re planning two DLCs for Dark Souls 3. The first is scheduled for release in autumn of 2016, and the second is scheduled for early 2017. We’re actually still working on the first one. Content-wise, it builds off of the previous titles and will be featuring a new area, enemies, gear, and story. The game story revolves around a new location which I believe will offer a different feel from Dark Souls 3. Please stay tuned!”

Dark Souls 3 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
