Bethesda Softworks made history in a way when it allowed mods for Fallout 4 to arrive on the Xbox One. Previously the domain of PC users, mods allowed console users to receive added life from their purchases at no extra cost.
PS4 users haven’t been so lucky. Originally scheduled to received the mods beta in June, it’s now August and PS4 users haven’t received support. Bethesda revealed that there were issues with the PS4 including a file size limit of 900 MB among other factors.
In a recent update, the official Fallout Twitter noted that, “We’re working w/ Sony on Fallout 4 Mod support for PS4. The process is still under evaluation. As soon as we learn more, we will share news.”
This seems about in line with the statement last week by Pete Hines, VP of PR and marketing at Bethesda, when he noted that, “I’m not going to get into specifics. If I was able to have an open dialog and explain what’s up I would have long ago.”
