Destiny Update 2.4.0 Brings Rise of Iron Exotic, Iron Banner Bounties Deleted

The Trespasser is available...as a drop, of course.

Update 2.4.0 for Destiny to prepare the game for Rise of Iron has brought its share of welcome and unwelcome changes.

Along with changes to the interface and world map, including the Plaguelands and Felwinter Peak now visible in the Cosmodrome, the update has added a new Exotic with the Trespasser sidearm. It’s a drop though so make sure to buy some Three of Coins from Xur and start grinding. Bungie has since noted that this addition was intended and not a glitch.

However, it hasn’t addressed an unwelcome change to Iron Banner bounties. It’s usually tradition for some players to save bounties, like Iron Banner weeklies, in order to get a head-start on the next iteration of the PvP event.

Update 2.4.0 has wiped out any Iron Banner bounties that were kept on standby however. And given that the weeklies are worth a lot of Legendary Marks as well, players are less than happy about this change (and the lack of warning behind it).
