Titanfall 2 (3)

Respawn Entertainment’s Titanfall 2 has received a new update on the PC to allow for adaptive resolution scaling. Enabling TSAA is required for the feature to work.

This essentially allows for the rendered image to be downscaled in order to maintain a solid frame rate, which is good news for those playing on low power GPUs or trying to game in 4K on a fairly average card. It should be noted that if the target frame rate or resolution is higher than your machine is capable of, then image quality will suffer in the process to allow for a better frame rate.

The patch adds other changes and improvements. Along with stability and GPU performance improvements, stuttering and playback issues with voice chat have been reduced. The speed with which private match dedicated servers are being allocated has been increased and there’s reduced hitching when switching from no anti-aliasing and TSAA. Performance has also improved for texture streaming. You can check out the full patch notes here for a better idea of the changes.
