New information on Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn’s next major expansion Stormblood has been provided by Square Enix, offering insight into the new Job, raids and new activities.

The new Job is the Red Mage, a DPS role which focuses on melee attacks and ranged magic with the ability to chain spells together for increased damage. As for the new activities, players will be able to swim and dive into the water bodies around Eorzea, discovering new locations and interacting with NPCs. Even flying mounts can dive with players.

The new Beast Tribe is the Ananta, an all-female tribe residing near Ala Mhigo in the mountains. We’ll know more about them in Stormblood’s main story.

Then there are the raids. A new Alliance raid called “Return to Ivalice” will be introduced along with Bend of Time – Omega, a new high-level raid series which focuses on Omega’s appearance and how the Bend of Time will affect the world. Final Fantasy 14: Stormblood is currently slated to release on June 20th for PS4 and PC.
