Final Fantasy 15 DLC Order Explained

There is a reason Episode Ignis was chosen to be released last.

When Square Enix announced the DLC release schedule for Final Fantasy 15, fans of Ignis were probably disappointed- while Prompto and Gladiolus will both be getting their DLC episodes within the next six months, Ignis’ DLC episode is nowhere in sight. Considering that Ignis remains a fan favorite, this was truly disappointing.

However, it turns out that there is a reason for this. Speaking to DualShockers, Hajime Tabata, the director of Final Fantasy 15, confirmed that Episode Ignis was saved for the last because it is the most significant from a story perspective- the development team wanted to maximize its impact, and have the time to be able to do justice to its vision. If that meant saving the best for the last, then so be it.

Which sounds like perfectly fair reasoning to me. And hey, Ignis fans should probably derive some hope from the fact that he will be starring in the most important bit of story DLC for the game.
