Will Microsoft Reveal Xbox One Scorpio Before E3 2017?

Xbox boss Phil Spencer has the answer.

Microsoft and E3 2017 have together been in the news a great deal in the last few days, as more and more information comes our way, and now Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been talking about the company’s plans for this year’s E3 conference.

With the Xbox One Scorpio gathering steam and momentum, fans have been wondering whether the almost-next gen system will have a dedicated pre-E3 event all to itself. Spencer, however, says that nothing in set in stone, and that while he wants to talk about the system hardware at E3, he wants the show to be more about games than anything else.

“The plan’s not completely set, just to be honest with you,” he told IGN. “I think doing everything at E3 would be difficult, but we’ll talk more about it as we kind of land exactly on what we’re gonna go do. I like our E3 show being about games. Clearly we’re gonna talk about Scorpio at E3 but I also don’t want to take up a majority of the time doing all things about hardware. So there’s a balance there.”

“I want it on stage , it’s a great opportunity for us,” Spencer continued. “So you’ll hear more from us on this topic, so nothing great to share with you. But other than that, I know people want to know more specifically about what we’re doing with the hardware and I’d love to find an opportunity to do that.”

Spencer has also been speaking about the shift of Microsoft’s conference to a different hall at E3 this year, and says that they remain as committed as ever to the massive game show. Read all about it here.
