DOOM VFR And Fallout 4 VR Shown Off At Bethesda’s E3 Presser

An open world RPG in VR...

Bethesda has confirmed that two of its most popular games from this generation – DOOM and Fallout 4 – will both be playable in VR, as DOOM VFR and Fallout 4. Both of these were first revealed last year, but now they have been confirmed as proper new releases, bound for HTC Vive.

They are both inspired choices for VR- DOOM is a shooter that would shine in VR, and the only thing that could make a Bethesda RPG even more immersive than it already is is putting it in VR. A full fledged open world VR game will definitely make for the kind of killer app that VR platforms have lacked so far.

We don’t know when the games will be released yet- we also don’t know the exact platforms they will be on. HTC Vive is probably a given, but given the legal proceedings between Oculus and ZeniMax are now concluded, is Oculus a possibility too? We don’t know, but we will keep you posted.
