Won't be added to the "base" Battle Royale experience.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be receiving a lot of new content in the coming months. Along with a new weapon, two new maps and the new vaulting system, Bluehole also announced an upcoming PvP mode with Zombies.

Bluehole’s community manager announced on Twitter that, “While we’re excited about this, I want to assure you that this will NOT mean we will move our focus to new content. Optimization first!”

She also made sure to note that this mode wouldn’t be added on to the “base” Battle Royale. Furthermore, the zombies in this mode are, “Player controlled zombies. That is what makes this exciting for us. But again, it won’t be in the ‘base’ game.”

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds won’t just be receiving all of these new features on PC. It will arrive on Xbox One later this year, bringing the sandbox survival shooter to consoles for the first time. What are your thoughts on all the new content? Let us know in the comments.
