Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man for the PlayStation 4 has received a new screenshot and new concept art. While they’re a far cry from gameplay, we at least get a hint at some of the sequences in the game.
The first screenshot sees Spider-Man fighting against Mr. Negative, the same shady figure that was a focus in the gameplay reveal. The twist this time is that they’re fighting in the subway train, literally crashing in as civilians look on (much like Spider-Man 2’s train scene in fact). Considering how dynamic their first encounter is, it looks like Insomniac will be further upping the ante through the game.
The second image is actually concept art but showcases Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin who we’ve only heard about till now. Spider-Man appears to be battling Fisk in his high-rise apartment which is crumbling as a result. Insomniac did note that this takes place “very early” in the game.
Spider-Man doesn’t have a release date yet but it’s exclusive to the PS4 and will apparently be out in the first half of 2018.
