Destiny 2

Bungie’s Destiny 2 has been a strong success for the company so far. On September 9th, just three days after launch, the developer revealed on Twitter that there were more than 1.2 million concurrent users. This figure likely takes into account players on PS4 and Xbox One.

Considering the number of players logging in all at once and even with a rolling region-based launch, Destiny 2 had its share of hiccups. Players entered into queues upon logging in on September 6th. Disconnects and the infamous “Contacting Destiny 2 servers” message popped up on occasion for players. For what it’s worth, we were really only disconnected once or twice during our time with the game.

Destiny 2 may have just launched but Bungie has even more planned for the game. The Leviathan Raid, the 6 person PvE end-game content, will be going live on September 13th while Trials of the Nine debuts on September 15th. Xur will also be making his return in the coming days to sell some new Exotics.
