Overwatch’s Junkertown Map Releasing on September 19th

Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch will be receiving its next big map Junkertown on September 19th. The Escort map will release simultaneously for live servers on PC, Xbox One and PS4 after being tested on the PTR since Gamescom.

Junkertown is set in Australia and is the stronghold of the Junkers led by Queen. It’s the same place that Junkrat resided in and also where he met Roadhog. The two embarked on some kind of spree afterwards because they were subsequently unwelcome (as highlighted in the animated short “Junkertown: The Plan”).

The Escort map features, among other things, an arena called the Scrapyard, multiple levels to battle across and even a room full of gold. Along with Junkertown, it’s expected that changes to Mercy and D.Va will also go live.
