Destiny 2 End-Game Concerns Addressed by Bungie

And by addressed, we mean it'll take time to actually provide something.

Destiny 2 (11)

After the release of Destiny 2 and following the Leviathan raid and Trials of the Nine, fans of the vaunted franchise started to realize that there wasn’t much to the end-game. Vendors were reduced to slot machines to insert tokens, much of the open world didn’t provide any compelling loot or stories (aside from the Adventures and World Quests), Strikes lacked unique loot and interesting rewards and the raid itself was an exercise in coordination rather than gunplay.

Bungie has been hearing all these complaints though, even as it’s stayed quiet on how it plans to address them. In the latest weekly update, community manager Cozmo said that the developer would require time to process everything.

“We’re reading as much of your chatter as we possibly can. There are millions of you, after all. One thing we have noticed is a lot of discussions about the Endgame and how it can be improved. Right now, these discussions are also happening in our studio. We are listening, but need time to digest everything and draw up the best plans for the future. We will have more to say on this soon. Please stay tuned, and keep the conversation rolling.”

This could be related to Seasons, which will be detailed at TwitchCon on October 20th, but otherwise, Faction Rallies, Iron Banner, the Prestige Leviathan raid and Raid Challenges (to be detailed next week) will be your end-game grind in Destiny 2. It will be interesting to see how Bungie spices these things up, especially with how well it nailed Destiny 1’s end-game during the Age of Triumph.
