Furthermore, since games are better optimized for the console, it is “always going to enable a greater performance advantage,” states Playful's Paul Bettner.

Xbox One X

Playful Corp has been working on Super Lucky’s Tale and it will be one of the first games that has been designed to make full use of the Xbox One X’s capabilities. Playful Corp’s CEO Paul Bettner spoke to Gamespot about his experiences with Microsoft’s new console.

In the interview, Bettner talks of how the Xbox One X is easy to use from a developer’s perspective and then goes on to state that the console performs similarly to a high- end gaming pc. Bettner states that in terms of comparison, the Xbox One X’s GPU perhaps most closely ranges between Nvidia’s 1060 to 1080. While a GTX 1060 or even GTX 1070 might face probelms running today’s best games at 4K on PC, Bettner suggests that the same problems don’t exist for the Xbox One X. This is because games are better optimized for the console than for the PC, the developer has to” target a much wider range of hardware.”

Being an avid gamer himself, Bettner has made it clear that the Xbox One X will be his console of choice for the “foreseeable future”, until the next generation comes along. The Xbox One X is set to release on November 7th.
