Skyrim On Switch Updated To Version 1.1 For Various Fixes

The modern Dragonborn on the move has no time for petty bugs.

If somehow six years of iteration hasn’t fixed Skyrim, it’s hard to say what will. One of two new ports of the classic RPG just launched on Nintendo Switch and Bethesda has now dropped Update 1.1 to polish up some bugs involving the motion controls, as well as enabling video recording.

Aside from offering fixes for those strange, fringe situation like wanting to use a power attack from horseback, or aiming your bow with the motion controls, the update also brings with it official support for Traditional Chinese language gameplay with both text and subtitles.

While the port doesn’t enjoy all of the new enhancements from the 2016 special edition remaster, Skyrim on Nintendo Switch holds up fairly well and portability is a great fit, with Gamingbolt calling it the best way to play Bethesda’s enduring classic. Bethesda isn’t yet done with Skyrim either, with Skyrim VR dropping on PlayStation VR soon.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Switch 1.1 Update

  • Traditional Chinese Language Support (Text/Subtitles)
  • Support for Video Capture using the Capture button on the Switch
  • Fixed a rare audio issue where static can be heard after fast traveling
  • Fixed an issue with Legend of Zelda themed items not aligning properly on placed weapon racks in player homes
  • Motion Control improvements
