Red Dead Redemption 2: More Voice Actors Possibly Discovered

New details have (possibly) emerged on the upcoming megaton release.

Given how hotly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 is and yet how little information we have on the game, it makes sense that fans of the game and the series have taken it upon themselves to dig out any and all pieces of information they can find online, no matter how miniscule. We have something like that for you today, though it isn’t exactly “miniscule”.

We already know that Roger Clark is one of the actors who will have a role in Red Dead Redemption 2, which is something we’ve reported on earlier as well. But now, thanks this post on the GTA Forums, we’ve discovered a lot more people who might also have roles to play in the upcoming game. Clark, it seems, has recently become friends on Facebook with a developer who works at Rockstar. What’s more interesting, though, is the fact that this developer is responsible for helping direct in-game cutscenes and working with the actors for motion capture.

What’s even more notable, though, is the fact that there’s a lot of other actors who have social links with both Clark and other developers at Rockstar as well. There are six people who are known to have been associated with either Red Dead Redemption, or its upcoming sequel. These are three people who work with the studio on animation, audio engineering, and motion capture, as well as Rob Weithoff (who played John Marston in Red Dead Redemption, and will possibly return for the sequel), Benjamin Byron Davis (played Dutch van Der Linde, and will be returning for the sequel), and Steve J Palmer (Bill Williamson, could return in the sequel).

Interestingly enough, the post we’ve linked to above has managed to uncover names of even more actors who’re linked online with either some or all of these six people. Some of these actors are Harron Atkins, Cali Moore, and Kaili Vernoff. All the other actors who have online connections with people associated with Red Dead have even stronger links with Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption 2.

For instance, Peter Blomquist and Gabriel Sloyer Seron are also among the actors who have such online connections, and both have them have also previously worked with Rockstar on previous projects- namely L.A. Noire and Grand Theft Auto V respectively. Lindsay Perry is another such actor, and she too worked with Rockstar on GTA 5. Meanwhile, Noshir Dalal also has similar online connections, and he has been working on motion capture for an unreleased game for two and a half years under a non-disclosure agreement, supposedly as a “major” character.

These are all pretty strong links, but it should be noted that none of this is by any means official. It’s all on the basis of speculative research by the members of GTA Forums, and while it seems pretty solid, this should all still be taken with a grain of salt- at least for the time being.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is due out the PS4 and the Xbox One some time in 2018, though not much else is known about when it will be out beyond that. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage on the game.
