Google Top Tech Searches For 2017 Includes Nintendo Switch And Xbox One X

The internet has been ravenous for info on the new Xbox and Nintendo systems.

Google has come out with the top searches for different categories over the whole of 2017, and both the Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Xbox One X have made appearances as third and fifth respectively.

This is significant as it speaks to how much excitement these devices are getting from a larger, general audience. The tech category is usually dominated by Smartphones, since they appeal to a far wider demographic. This isn’t untrue this year either, since literally every other entry in the consumer tech category is some kind of Cellular device, with iPhone 8 and iPhone X topping the charts with Samsung Galaxy S8 sandwiched between the consoles and other handsets filling out the rest.

The sales figures of the Xbox One X aren’t available since the console launched little over a month ago, but we recently learned that Nintendo Switch has shipped 10 Million units within the 9 months it’s been available, speaking to the interest in Nintendo’s hybrid. Nintendo hopes to ship a historic 50 Million Units by the next fiscal year end. See the full list of results below.
