Death Stranding Will Be A Phenomenal Success, Kojima One Of The Finest Devs Around – Pachter

High praise from Michael Pachter.

GamingBolt recently sat down for an exclusive interview with industry analyst Michael Pachter, and we ended up speaking about a large number of things. One of these was Hideo Kojima and his upcoming game, Death Stranding, and it’s fair to say that, just like ourselves, Pachter is quite excited about the game.

Pachter stated that Kojima is probably one of the greatest game designers of all time, stating that he’s excited about Death Stranding simply because it’s a Hideo Kojima game. “Most Japanese games are bizarre, but we love some of them anyway,” Pachter said. “I mean, Katamari is so weird, and I love that game. I couldn’t stop playing it. Or look at Final Fantasy– compelling, or bizarre. I don’t think Kojima is quite as bizarre as other Japanese developers. He has this crossover appeal- so does Miyamoto. I think it’s something to do with their personalities, they are really likeable people, and they are open to thinking about other people and cultures, which translates into their games.”

“So yes, I think Death Stranding will be a phenomenal success,” he continued. “I think Kojima is one of the finest developers who ever walked the planet. I will play his games no matter what they are called or what they look like.” For the most part, I agree with him. Hideo Kojima is hands down one of the greatest game developers of all time, and anything he puts out has to be top-notch.

Though I’m not quite sure what Pachter means when he says Kojima isn’t as bizarre as some other Japanese developers- he’s pretty damn bizarre. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage on Death Stranding, as well as our full interview with Michael Pachter.
