Hunt: Showdown Video Explains Hunting, Becoming The Hunted

How exactly do you play the creepy survival shooter? Find out here.

Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown went into closed alpha fairly recently and offered an entry to its horrific world to a few select players. For those still curious about what exactly you do in this creepy, atmospheric first person shooter, a new video outlines these things perfectly.

Essentially, you and another player team up together to hunt a monster (though it’s possible to play solo in the full game). You’re not the only ones though – other teams are also on the hunt and will want to capture the loot before you. Whoever ultimately slays the monster and claims the loot will have a bounty on their heads. That means its open season for other players to attack them and try to take the bounty for themselves.

In the below video, we learn about a few elements like how the game’s economy functions, different equipment that can be used in a mission and so on. It’s an interesting twist on the Battle Royale formula and should help Hunt: Showdown stay relevant en route to its Steam Early Access launch in the Winter.
