We’ve already received reports that this year’s Call of Duty game, which is supposed to be by Treyarch, will be Black Ops 4. According to these reports, the game is going to be a modern day “boots on the ground” Black Ops title, and will be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Now, more reports have emerged which seem to corroborate, at the very least, that the game this year is going to be Black Ops 4. Eurogamer reports that multiple sources have confirmed that the game this year is supposed to be a modern day Black Ops title by Treyarch; while the question of how it will tie in narratively with the other three Black Ops games remains, it makes sense to continue the brand, since it is the most successful Call of Duty sub-series at this point.
Keep in mind, Eurogamer currently has not been able to confirm the existence of a Switch version- so while all of this is an unsubstantiated rumor, the Switch version is even more of one. Presumably Activision will reveal the game on their own terms some time in May, like they usually do.
