It Sounds Like FreeSync Will Be Coming To All Xbox One Consoles

And not just Xbox One S and Xbox One X, as was originally announced.

When FreeSync was originally announced for Xbox, it was confirmed only for the Xbox One X; an announcement earlier this month confirmed it for the Xbox One S in addition to the Xbox One X. However, in all this confusion, it sounds like there was a third part to this announcement- FreeSync will be coming to not just the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X, but also to the original Xbox One. You know, the launch model Xbox one console? That one.

This information comes to us courtesy of the AMD Blog, which confirmed that the Xbox One will be getting FreeSync technology (while the Xbox One S and Xbox One X already do so, apparently). This means that as long as you are using a monitor or screen that is compatible with Variable Refresh Rates, you should be able to leverage that on your Xbox One console.

Of course, there aren’t a lot of panels that support VRR just yet- but for those that do, it is good to see that Xbox now offers an option.
