Fortnite: Battle Royale’s New Limited Time Mode Now Available

Blitz mode brings shorter match times, more loot and plenty of chaos.

Fortnite Battle Royale

Epic Games’ next limited time mode for Fortnite: Battle Royale is now available for all platforms. Dubbed Blitz mode, its premise is “swift storms and lots of loot”. Match times are only 15 minutes and as soon as you begin, the storm circle is already diminishing in size.

To account for the reduced time you have to scavenge for loot, the chances of treasure chests and ammo boxes spawning has been increased. You can also count on Floor Loot spawning almost 100 percent of the time. Harvest resources are doubled and the spawn interval of Supply Drops and the time they take to descend has been decreased as well.

At this point, one has to wonder if a limited time mode with extended match timers is in the works as well. Blitz mode doesn’t currently have an end date but it should be available for the rest of the week. If you’re looking to complete challenges for the Season 3 Battle Pass, then you can do so within the limited time mode as well. To learn more about the new mode and patch v3.3, head here.
