Obsidian Entertainment’s Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire may have been delayed but the studio promised plenty of details and footage in the subsequent weeks. A new features trailer is up first and it showcases the myriad of things you can do in the Deadfire Archipelago. Check it out below.

Along with importing your old character profiles from the first game, it’s possible to create new characters with fairly hefty customization options. There’s the new multiclass system to take advantage of, letting you harness the best of numerous classes. There are pre-made companions to come across like Maia Rua, a ranger who’s also a skilled captain.

Speaking of captains, there’s more gameplay of the ship sailing and customization, combat, the various cities you’ll explore and much more. You’ll even catch a glimpse of this hulking firebird-dragon thing which looks to be a boss. Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire will be releasing on May 8th for PC. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach release.
