In its most recent financial results for the third  fiscal year quarter ending March 31st 2018, Microsoft announced that total Xbox Live users currently sat at 50 million. While this represents a 7 million increase year-over-year, it’s flat compared to the second quarter of the current year.

More Personal Computing, which consists of Xbox business among other things, saw $9.9 billion in total revenue. Again, while this is up by $1.1 billion year-over-year, representing a 13 increase, it’s down compared to the second quarter of this year ($12.2 billion revenue).

Gaming revenue for this quarter increased $345 million or 18 percent year-over-year thanks to Xbox software and services seeing a 24 percent revenue growth. For the nine months of this fiscal year, gaming revenue increased 9 percent or $658 million. Xbox software and services revenue growth was at 15 percent during this period.

Information on console unit sales is no longer provided by Microsoft. We’ll likely learn more about the company’s success (or lack thereof) in subsequent updates so stay tuned for more information.
