A major update for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds was released a week ago on Xbox One. Along with adding the Miramar desert map, it was also stated that the update would significantly improve the game’s performance. However, players reported that the game’s performance worsened after this update, and now Bluehole has addressed this issue in a recent post on the Xbox One forums.
The developers stated that the issue has been caused because of “a side effect caused by the game’s new prediction-based level streaming feature.” They go on to say that this feature will be improved upon in the coming weeks, so hopefully the game’s performance will get better soon enough. Additionally, if all goes acording to plan, world-loading will also improve a lot in the coming weeks. This issue seems to be more prevalent in the Miramar map as of now. Hopefully, the developers are able to keep their word and fix this problem as soon as possible!
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is currently available for the PC and Xbox One.
