Ever since Death Stranding’s reveal, two more subsequent trailers have been shown off over the last two years, and while it still remains unclear just what the game is about, several (myself included) have been theorizing and speculating about the multitude of hints Hideo Kojima has dropped on the game, both within the trailers, and without.
One of the things that has been visible most prevalently has to be the name of the in-game organizarion (at least we assume it’s an organization) known as the Bridges, to which Norman Reedus’ character (and the game’s protagonist) seems to belong as well. The name of “Bridges” is often accompanied in the trailers with the image of a spiderweb spread across the entirety of a disintegrating map of the United States of America (though in the game it seems to be called the United Cities of America).
And once again, Hideo Kojima is dropping teases about the game- this time directly about the Bridges, too. He recently uploaded an image of a spiderweb accompanied with the word “Bridges” on his Instagram account, cryptically enough. What exactly the nature of this tease is, and what it means for the game itself is something that remains a mystery.
With E3 almost upon us and with Death Stranding being one of the four games Sony will be focusing on the most in their own press event, we expect to find out more about the game – and, in turn, about Bridges – within a weeks’ time. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more updates on the game.
