Nioh 2 Announced at Sony’s E3 Press Conference

Not much else to go on at this point, though.

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja’s Nioh was a very successful entry in the whole Souls-like genre- I would argue the most successful one there has been outside of the Souls games themselves- when it launched exclusively on PS4 (and later also on PC) last year. It seems like it was so successful, in fact, that Team Ninja is following up with a sequel.

That’s right, Nioh 2 was announced at Sony’s E3 press conference tonight, and while we didn’t get to see a whole lot of gameplay footage, we did get… okay, we didn’t get much. We don’t know the platforms (is it a PS4 exclusive? Coming to PC as well? Xbox One? Switch?), or even the release date. Or release year. We just know Nioh 2 exists.

The original Nioh was announced in 2004, before finally launching thirteen years later on PlayStation 4, in 2017. Let’s hope this new one won’t take as long, right?
