No more delays are possible from here on out, barring something totally unexpected happening.

Shadow of the tomb raider leaked

Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the final instalment in the rebooted Tomb Raider trilogy that started all the way back in early 2013, is almost here- it launches this September, and promises to be wildly ambitious, including with the most elaborate hub world in series history, when it does. And now, almost two months ahead of its release, the game has gone gold, meaning that it is content complete and fully polished, and that the code has been finalized and pressed to the master disc, which will be replicated for mass production.

This doesn’t mean more development on the game won’t happen- there presumably will still be improvements made which will eventually take the form of launch day updates and patches that every game seems to have these days. But it means that the bulk of the work on the game is done. No delays are possible at this point, short of something totally catastrophic happening.

So if you’re a fan waiting for this game? You can rest easy now. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is almost here, launching on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on September 14.
