Square Enix’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider, meant to be the capstone to the new Tomb Raider trilogy that began with the eponymous Tomb Raider reboot back in 2013, looks like it will up the ante and the stakes that Lara Croft has to face. What it will also be doing will be taking players to a brand new place- Paititi.
Paititi is a civilization that has developed untouched by modern society and culture from the rest of the world, and will act as a hub world in this new game- in fact, it is the largest hub ever seen in a Tomb Raider game, coming with challenge tombs, side missions, and loads of other activities hidden within it (in addition to being a bustling city for players to traverse themselves).
All of this, and more, is shown off in the nearly ten minute video Square released today. We also get to see more of how gorgeous this game looks- it should be a beauty especially on the Xbox One X. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is out on September 14 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
