Red Dead Redemption was a beautiful game back when it first launched in 2010, and when it received 4K enhancements on the Xbox One X, its visual impact increased manifold. And of course, Rockstar’s ability to deliver stunning visuals shouldn’t surprise anyone- but nothing could have prepared us for Red Dead Redemption 2.

The upcoming open world giant recently received a gameplay trailer (first of many, actually), and it was absolutely beautiful. The trailer, which was running at a 4K resolution on a PS4 Pro (though it’s not clear whether it was native or dynamic), showed ridiculous amounts of detail and buttery smooth animations.

If you want a reference of just how much of an improvement it is over its already impressive predecessor, YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has uploaded a video comparing the two games in 4K resolutions. You can, of course, take a look at the video below.

It does an excellent job of showing not only just how impressive Red Dead Redemption 2 is looking, with its incredible lighting, amazing draw distances, its lifelike animations, and its level of detail, but also how much it has improved over its predecessor (which, at this point, is eight years old).

Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26 for the Xbox One and PS4. The aforementioned gameplay debut of the game revealed a ton of new details. Read more about them here.
