Remember Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, CD Projekt RED’s standalone version of the beloved CCG from The Witcher 3? The developer also revealed the standalone single-player RPG Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales, which was originally part of Gwent but exceeded the intended scope. Now it’s announced that both titles will be out on October 23rd for PC on GOG.
However, the Xbox One and PS4 versions will need slightly more time, and have to undergo certification processes. As a result, they’ll release on December 4th. Cross-play support between PS4 and PC players is confirmed, as well as with Xbox One and PC players.
But really, fans of the card game should be looking forward to the Homecoming update, Gwent‘s largest update till date, which adds a 3D game board, several improvements to the gameplay, and new artwork. It will go live on the same day as both games. In the meantime, check out the newest developer video with community manager Pawel Burza for more information on Homecoming.
