Fallout 76 Dev Details Upcoming Fixes, Performance Patch Due Tomorrow

UI fixes, QoL improvements, and more will also be part of the upcoming patch.

Fallout 76

Fallout 76 isn’t the most stable game at launch, hampered by technical deficiencies and performance issues. Not only does it have the jank that games made by Bethesda Game Studios have almost become synonymous with, it also has added issues that go hand-in-hand with it being an online-only experience.

Several of the issues that Bethesda noticed in the game’s beta period were already ironed out through a massive day one patch, and now they’re put up an update on their site that details some of the fixes that they’re going to make with the game’s next update, which is scheduled for tomorrow, while also briefly talking about what lies beyond that.

According to Bethesda, the next patch will “focus primarily on game performance and stability on all platforms”, but will have fixes for a number of other issues as well, including quests, the user interface, base building, and more. Bethesda notes that patch notes will be going live soon, and that “this update will be large compared to what we expect for patches going forward”. “Regular updates will always vary in size, but future updates should be much smaller in comparison,” their post notes.

Several other issues that players have been demanding fixes for will also be addressed “in the coming weeks”. These include increasing the maximum limit for stash sizes, enabling push to talk, 21:9 support, and FoV sliders, all three for those who’re playing the game on PC.

Some of the game’s most prevalent issues have been things like its UI, its unsteady performance, and its stash size limits, while things such as FoV sliders and ultrawide support have also been demanded by PC players a lot, so it’s good to see that Bethesda is working on fixes these issues right away.

Fallout 76 is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Our review will be going live soon, so stay tuned to GamingBolt.
