Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is doubtless one of the biggest releases of the year, and with its release almost upon us, the excitement surrounding it is sky high and palpable. Millions are going to get the game regardless of how it’s received from critics, but if you’re among the people who’re on the fence about what sort of reviews it get, you won’t have to wait too long to find out.
According to the game’s OpenCritic page, the review embargo for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will lift tomorrow, on December 6, at 8 AM ET, or 5 AM PT, which is roughly over half a day before the game is out in stores for everyone to buy (which seems par for the course for most Nintendo titles as far as review embargoes are concerned).
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also receive a day one patch on December 7, which will mostly be centred on replay and video functionalities. Read more on that through here. Meanwhile, if you’ve played Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! before you get Smash, you’ll be in luck with Pikachu or Eevee Spirits in the game coming unlocked.
