Call of Duty Black Ops 4

To further cater to players who aren’t sure about dropping $60 on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Activision has announced the new Battle Edition. Available on Battle.net for PC users, the Battle Edition currently costs $30, but will jump to $40 from January 6th, 2019 onwards. It’s essentially a version of the game that only includes multiplayer and Blackout, with no Zombies mode.

The Battle Edition is compatible with all current copies and lobbies on PC when it comes to multiplayer and Blackout. If you enjoy both modes and want to get Zombies as well, there’s an option to upgrade to the Digital Standard Edition. This comes with Zombies, 1100 Call of Duty Points, and bonus items.

Perhaps the most intriguing implication from this is that Blackout could be sold as a separate package in the future. Who’s to say the mode isn’t offered as a $20 package when enough content has been added to it? For more information on whether multiplayer and Blackout are worth checking out, head over to GamingBolt’s official review of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
