Dreams Creator’s Beta Sign-Ups Now Available

Media Molecule will expand on the current beta when invites go out on January 11th.

Media Molecule’s long-awaited project Dreams is inching ever closer to a full release. The developer has recently announced that closed beta sign-ups for North America and Europe are now open. These are meant to expand on the beta that started in December, for those who subscribed to the Media Molecule newsletter. Invitations will be sent out in batches on January 11th.

The beta won’t have everything, though. PlayStation VR support and some of the campaign is not available. Players can, however, mess around with the creation tools. Just make sure to peruse the confidentiality agreement beforehand and don’t share any details about the same, especially since some aspects could still be in flux.

The beta is roughly 4 GB in size, and won’t require a PlayStation Plus subscription for online gameplay. Creations will carry over into the main game, and while Media Molecule can’t guarantee that everyone signing up will receive access, it is looking for quite a few people to take part. Don’t delay – sign up today.

Beyond a 2019 window, Dreams doesn’t have a solid release date, so hopefully there will be more word from Sony on that front soon as well.
