Dreams Beta Starts on December 19th, Public Beta Invites Coming in 2019

Everyone can sign up in the new year for the public beta, with invites going out in the week of January 8th.

Following its recent stream for Dreams, Media Molecule made good on its promise for a beta in 2018. The beta will launch on December 19th – timings have yet to be confirmed – and will be available until January 21st 2019. If you’ve been following the developer’s newsletter, then an invitation for the beta should have arrived in your inbox.

Don’t worry though – a public beta is scheduled as well. You can sign up once the new year hits, with invitations for the same being sent out in the week of January 8th. There are a couple of things to keep in mind though – firstly, PlayStation VR support isn’t included in the beta. Secondly, if you join the creator beta, then a confidentiality agreement must be signed.

Since this will be the very first time that the public will have access to the tools in Dreams, it somewhat makes sense (not to mention that several aspects could still be in development). Residents in the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia can access the beta. Thankfully, a PlayStation Plus subscription isn’t needed, though you’ll obviously need an online connection.
