Anthem Demo – Connectivity Issues Resolved, Infinite Loading Screens Still Occurring

Other issues, like users not progressing past the title screen, still remain.

Anthem

BioWare’s Anthem saw its VIP access demo go live yesterday, allowing those who pre-ordered or subscribed to EA/Origin Access to try it out until January 27th. Unfortunately, not only did the sheer number of players logging in result in server capacities being overloaded, but led to other issues cropping up as well. Login issues seemingly affected all of EA’s games and services, including the Anthem demo, at the time.

BioWare GM Casey Hudson remarked around then that it wasn’t “a server capacity issue. Seems to be a different issue that didn’t come up in previous scale testing.” As of recent updates by EA Help on Twitter and its official Answers page, connectivity for all platforms should be improved. Unfortunately, a number of other issues still remain, which EA is currently tracking:

  • Infinite loading screens when launching the game or entering an expedition.
  • Unable to get past the Anthem title screen.
  • Some Xbox One players are unable to access the Anthem VIP demo.
  • Some players are unable to access their Anthem VIP demo friends codes.

Anthem will have another demo available free to all players on February 1st, lasting until February 3rd. The full game is out on February 22nd for Xbox One, PS4m and PC. However, it’s possible to play the full game with Origin Access Premier on February 15th. Stay tuned for more information on current issues though.
