Shortly prior to the launch of Anthem, BioWare teased a roadmap for the coming few months for the looter shooter, and what they would bring to the game by way of new content. They’ve now fully detailed what players can expect from now up until the end of May as part of the first phase of their planned post-launch support for the game, which they’re calling “Act 01: Echoes of Reality”.

During the remaining days of February, players will begin seeing new content being added to the game already. This will come in the form of three new Freeplay Events. March will see the arrival of four more new Freeplay Events, as well as new cosmetics (Elysian Stronghold Caches), new items, as well as one new mission, titled “Legendary Missions – Phase I”.

April promises to be a very meaty month. There will be seven new Freeplay Events, as well as the addition of social features, like leaderboards, weekly Stronghold challenges, and guilds, on top of more new items, as well as an expansion to the progression system. Legendary Missions will be continued with its second phase, while a new Stronghold – called The Sunken – will also be added.

Finally, May will see the beginning of the Cataclysm, and will also bring one more Freeplay Event, more new missions, and more new items. BioWare also promises recurring additions that won’t be limited to any one of these months, with store refreshes, new challenges (daily, weekly, and monthly), weekly Alliance coins, and quality of life improvements. Acts 02 and 03 are also mentioned, but no details on those are currently available.

Anthem launched for the entire world two days ago on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, after having been available to Origin Access Premier members in its entirety for a week before that. The game has been met with generally mixed reception, with some of the many criticisms being based on the game’s several technical issues, as well as its surprising lack of content in its current state. Technical issues have begun to be addressed thanks to the game’s day one patch, and hopefully will continue to be addressed, while the hope remains that this detailed launch map is indication of the problems surrounding lack of content also being addressed quickly and effectively.
