Death Stranding May Be Getting A Marketing Push, Kojima Teases In-Game Image

With Sony's global marketing getting involved, could Death Stranding be close to release?

Death Stranding, in spite of being a game we know very, very little about, is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming games. There have been rumblings about when it might launch, but rumblings are all they have been, while Kojima himself also recently mentioned that the game’s development is slightly behind scheduled. However, following new updates, it seems we might not be too far away from the game’s launch.

Game director Hideo Kojima recently put up an update on Twitter with pictures of himself with members of Sony’s marketing team at his studio, while David Bull of Sony’s Global Brand Marketing, also put up a similar update (his Twitter bio also mentions that he’s heading up Death Stranding’s marketing). With Sony and Kojima Productions both giving the game’s marketing a push, that might mean that the game is closer to finishing development and to having an actual concrete release window in the not-too-distant future.

Additionally, Kojima also put up images of another recording session with the game’s Japanese voice cast, but what’s most interesting is that one of the images shows what looks to be something from within the game itself on one of the screens. It’s an interior shot, and looks completely innocuous, but given that this is all we’ve seen of the game in months, we’ll take it… I guess. Take a look below.

In related news, Kojima Productions also recently filed a couple of trademarks that might provide clues about the game’s multiplayer features. Read more on that through here.
