Capcom’s open world action RPG, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is out now for the Nintendo Switch, bringing its rich world, intricate combat mechanics, and fantasy setting to a Nintendo system for the first time ever. To celebrate its release, Capcom and Nintendo have put out a launch trailer as well, which you can view below.

The trailer shows various shots from many locations in the game’s vast and varied world, many snippets of its highly praised combat system, with all manner of beast, and several different weapon types, from swords to bow and arrows, to magical attacks. And, of course, it’s looking visually solid as well.

Dragon’s Dogma remains a fan-favourite title for millions, having endeared itself to the masses upon release despite shortcomings, and winning over even more people with the release of Dark Arisen. The Nintendo Switch release seems like a great time to jump back in, or to experience it for the first time, if you haven’t played it before.

Capcom have previously mentioned that if Dragon’s Dogma proves to be successful on the Switch, it might compel them to release other games on the platform as well- such as Devil May Cry 5. Meanwhile, creator and director Hideaki Itsuno hopes to work on Dragon’s Dogma 2 as well- so let’s hope his wish is granted soon.
