“Teases” and speculation for new Metal Gear projects have been a dime a dozen even since Hideo Kojima’s departure from Konami- but none of them have ever really materialized into anything worthwhile. We have another tease here today, so how you look at it is very much going to be coloured by whether you’ve been burned by similar teases in the recent past- but it’s something. This time, it comes from Donna Burke.

In case you don’t know, Donna Burke is an Australian singer and voice actor who has contributed her vocals to soundtracks in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, in addition lending her voice for the iDroid in The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes, and having performed the covers of several Metal Gear songs for separately released vocal soundtracks.

So what exactly is she teasing? Recently, she took to Twitter to tease a “secret project”,  which she followed up with a cheeky “kept you waiting, huh?”. Her tweet also teases that something related to the project – probably more information on whatever it is – is coming soon. The most likely scenario is that she is recording another soundtrack for series, or preparing for an upcoming concert. It’s unlikely that a tease for a new Metal Gear game would happen this way.

Not too long ago, David Hayter and Robin Atkin Downes – the voices of Solid Snake and Kaz Miller respectively – made it clear that there were no Metal Gear projects in the works, even though they hoped that something would be announced soon.

Either way, stay tuned to GamingBolt, and we’ll keep you updated in case there’s any new info.
