Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Monster Hunter World is quite the success story. It came from a relatively popular, but also relatively niche, franchise and shot up the charts at a staggering pace to become Capcom’s top selling game in record time. The first full scale expansion is coming for the game soon, and Capcom has released some videos showcasing a new tool and some uses for old weapons that it will bring with it.

Iceborne will release later this year, and along with it will come the Clutch Claw, which will allow you to grapple and mount monsters, which you can see highlighted in the first video below. In the second and third you’ll see some familiar weapons, the longsword and the greatsword. You may already have a good grasp on them, but adding them to the new Clutch Claw creates a lot of new opportunities. Definitely looks like something to change up the hunt.

Monster Hunter World is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Iceborne will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6th, with a PC version following in Winter. It’s said to be a very hefty expansion.
